Note: The idea of separating cannabis into sativa and indica is not considered to be as valid anymore, due to hybridization and breeding practices, but it is still how many people talk about cannabis. Instead of “strains” many in the cannabis industry have switched to the term “chemovar” (meaning: chemical variation) and there are 3 categories: Type 1 chemovars are THC-dominant, Type 2 chemovars are balanced in terms of CBD:THC, and Type 3 chemovars are CBD-dominant.
